DIVINE BORDERLINE

Hey There! I'm Bailey!
I was born and raised in Wichita, KS. I have an adorable daughter who is a complete miniature me. When I'm not blogging, or in therapy, you can find me at Starbucks with my basic white girl drink. I proudly wear that label with absolute no shame. I also enjoy Target runs and Sundays at Barnes & Noble.
My Story
I'll try to keep this short... because it's a long one. I first suspected that I may have had BPD when I watched "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" on Netflix in the fall of 2018. I related so much with the main character. Then fast-forward to Summer 2021, I finally get the courage to go see a specialist. Instead of being diagnosed with BPD, I'm told that I'm "too nice" to have Borderline, and that I have Bipolar II. I also got diagnosed with ADHD around this time. My therapist, at the time, did not agree with the Bipolar diagnosis(and neither did I). So after a year and a half later, getting a second psychiatrist's opinion, and getting a full psychiatric evaluation from another facility, I was determined to not Bipolar II but I do have ADHD, Autism, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Leading up to this diagnosis I did struggle in my academics and career-life to find the "perfect" fit because I just could not focus and found the work to eventually be boring until I was put on the proper medication. My emotional relationships struggled until I found the right type of therapy for me, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, instead of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I started DBT in the late summer of 2024 and I couldn't be more happier with it! I promise, life with BPD can be good, you just need to be patient and put in the work for it.
